Since by your obedience to the Truth you have purified yourselves so that you can experience the genuine love of brothers, love each other intensely from the heart; for your new birth was not from any perishable seed but from Imperishable Seed, the Living and Enduring Word of God. First Peter 1:22-23

Anyone who wants to become great among you must be your servant, and anyone who wants to be first among you must be slave to all. Mark 10:43-44

First Peter 1:18-25, Psalm 147 & Mark 10:32-45

There is a theme for humanity that cannot be overlooked today in First Peter, which is by your obedience to God’s Word you will purify yourself to experience “genuine love” radiating intensely form your heart by the “Imperishable Seed, the Living and Enduring Word of God.” When you become submissive to God’s Truth, every step of life is laid out for you to come into contact with the people, habits and places to accomplish all by God’s Will.

If you surround yourself with Truth, you’ll find yourself living God’s Will of His Truth in these people, habits and places by which you have been Divinely guided by God’s Holy Plan for you and your life. Make no mistake about it by exercising your Free Will to live for God’s Truth or experience the headaches of living for self and sin. There are times I would “wish” I was dead instead of looking for God’s Truth to guide me eternally to expiate my sins and lead me in the right direction.

It took only a realigning of my desires to accomplish all for the “Glory of God” to know I am Saved by the Blood of a Lamb and I should be living in “prayer” instead of living by a “wish.” Once I realized I could no longer “wish” my way out of things and I must concentrate on living God’s Truth did my life become a servant to anyone, anytime and anywhere. When I lived firsthand the emptiness of living homeless and scared, I knew God’s Will was directing me to seek out these desperate people to provide them with God’s faith, hope and love.

I prayed instead of wishing to help these people and created my “Trunk of Comfort” for any homeless person I could find or come across in my daily travels. Yesterday, I met a man who was walking along in tattered clothes, shuffling to keep a worn out pair of sandals from coming off his feet. When I pulled over and asked him if he’d like a new pair of shoes, he smiled a smile only Christ could give him and shuffled on over in a pair of sandals that had holes in the bottom and were about to fall apart.

I picked him out a pair of perfect fitting sneakers to cover as he described “my aching swollen feet” and a t-shirt praying with him before he left to be guided by God’s Truth. He sat down and placed the shoes on his feet instantly losing his shuffle turning it into a bounce of joy. We are all called by God to do more for the less fortunate in hope and action keeping away from living by a wish and truly living in God’s prayer. I stay clear of saying “good luck” to anyone and instead say, “my prayers are with you.” Amen

Dear God, we pray to be obedient to your Truth allowing us to experience genuine love for one another. We pray to be Your Servant to share Your Son’s Salvation with all. We pray for Peter Fusco and his family. Please give him Your faith, hope and love to understand Your Will LORD. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Forever we will see the Word of God’s story- First Peter 1:18-25

Futile conduct received its ransom

Handed down by ancestors a hansom

Nothing perishable like silver and gold

Precious Blood of Christ as the Prophets foretold

Known before the foundation of the world

Revealed in the final hour by God’s Truth unfurled

By Raising Him from the dead He gave Him all Glory

So your faith and hope are in God’s Eternal story

This purification was obtained by obedience to His Truth

Sincere brotherly love was obtained for instant use

To love one another intensely from a pure heart

From Imperishable Seed did humanity get their start

Grass is like flesh and flowers its glory

The grass withers as the flowers wilts in hoary

Forever we will see the Word of God’s story

The Word proclaimed to you that’s nothing gory

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
