In the same way, every one of you who does not renounce all his possessions cannot be My Disciple. Luke 14:33

Renouncing possessions Christ Disciple will begin

For the corruptible body burdens the soul and the earthly tent weighs down the mind with its many concerns. Wisdom 9:15

In the same way, every one of you who does not renounce all his possessions cannot be My Disciple. Luke 14:33

Wisdom 9:13-18, Psalm 90, Philemon 1:9-17 & Luke 14:25-33

The life of humanity has entered the rat race of self advancing along a line of destruction corrupted by impure thoughts of progression created in the name of material gain. We wonder why our neck and shoulders hurt so much after a long day of building wealth and desires running here or there creating this or that trying to get ahead of you know who? I’m still unsure of who I tried to race ahead of myself after all these years of pursuing addictive desires forgoing family, friends and foundations in the name of feeling good? I for one realize today more than ever the need to let go and let God be God seeking faith, hope and love by charity’s real purpose of harmony within survival. Release the knots in your neck and shoulder by the peace Christ injects in your soul allowing your heart to empty the burdens we carry in our minds of self-driven gains. Jesus asks us today to live a life of conviction placing our aspiration on the joys of adoration entrenched in the works of generosity. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray to shed our concerns by our surrender to Your Truth . Novena prayers day five for Nadege Robergeau in Haiti. Novena prayers day nine for Sabina Romero. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Greg Bishop has our constant prayers. LORD from Psalm 79:9, I chant- “Help us, God our Savior, on account of the glory of Your Name. Deliver us, pardon our sins for Your Name’s Sake.” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

I am yours in Christ,

Ephesians 6:17-20

Renouncing possessions Christ Disciple will begin– Luke 14:25-33

Crowds so vast
Followed Jesus fast
Less they incur wrath
Opening mouths gasp

Parables or stories filled the air
Jesus would address them to share
The Truth His Father fed Him He’d dare
Not a worry in the world but charity to care

Announcing you must hate your selfish past
Mothers and fathers and children to grasp
Life of your own must truly take a fast
Christ’s Disciple must surrender his obedience to hasp

All must close his hands around the Cross of his own
Not live according to pleasures previously shown
Tower to construct by the calculated costs prone
Enough for completion without missing a single stone

If in dismay you forgo many Truths to tally
The foundation unfinished onlookers to rally
Materials lack they laugh unprepared king
Deciding to fight they must always bring

The smarts to sit down and weigh the battle
Too many troops will cause many to tattle
Delegation sent peace ahead to calm the rattle
Or be run over like a herd of stampeding cattle

Possessions renounced in the Name of Him
The only chance for humanity to win
The Salvation of life our release from sin
Renouncing possessions Christ Disciple will begin

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
