In brotherly love let your feelings of deep affection for one another come to expression and regard others as more important than yourself. Romans 12:10

My soul proclaims the Greatness of the LORD and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior. Luke 1:46-47

Romans 12:9-16, Isaiah 12:2-3, 4, 5-6 & Luke 1:39-56

Do you regard the other person more important than yourself? Stop and think about this for a moment: Do you at least try to hear the other person’s need more than yourself ? God made us to be more than just selfish animals looking for the next round of excitement, advantage or meal, God made you to take into account the needs of people around you in a fashion of faith, hope and love.

It’s kind-of-like giving someone a true Godly hug or just a quick peck on the cheek. You can feel the true expression of regard and deep affection for one another in a Godly hug. It’s a deep-down sensational embrace you walk away from refreshed, refocused and rejuvenated. It’s a feeling that allows your soul to proclaim the Greatness of the LORD feeding your Spirit to live for God your Savior. Paul explains in Romans 12: 11-15 that this type of brotherly love does more than just accept life for your own benefit but to accomplish more for God’s Kingdom being eager to fulfill God’s Service. Amen.

In the service of the LORD, work not halfheartedly but with conscientiousness and an eager spirit. Be joyful in hope, persevere in hardship; keep praying regularly; share with any of God’s holy people who are in need; look for opportunities to be hospitable. Bless your persecutors; never curse them, bless them. Rejoice with others when they rejoice, and be sad with those in sorrow.”

We pray by God, His Son and His Spirit to love not in word or speech but in deed and truth expressing true brotherly love for one another living to accomplish Your Will Father. We pray for countless people who are dear to us especially our family, our children and our friends. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Be wise in prayer not your own intentional need- Romans 12:9-16

Sincere is the love we seek so dear

Evil is what we hate and should always fear

Avoiding evil intentionally steering clear

But holding on to what is good in God’s love to peer

Mutual affection grants honor unspoken

With anticipation never leave a person broken

Use zeal of God’s love as love’s tender token

Not being slack for God’s Kingdom spoken

A fervent spirit is God’s Eternal choice

Serve the LORD in more than a spoken voice

Rejoice in hope over ugliness and noise

Endure in affliction with honor and poise

Prayer of perseverance awakens the soul

Daily count your blessings with friends you know

Sharing the love of God as outward show

Contributing to the needs of holy ones to eternally sow

Hospitality exercised to saints unknown

Blessing the persecutors no curse morally shown

Rejoicing with the celebrants of graces grown

Weeping with the mourners whose grace was blown

Regard one another as the same in truth and in deed

Avoid being haughty full of deceit and greed

Associate with the lowly who seek God’s feed

Be wise in prayer not your own intentional need

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
